LAUREN KRIGEL
Lauren Krigel is a musical actress and vocalist in Philadelphia, PA. Since showcasing her own rendition of Madonna’s “Material Girl” at six years old in her neighborhood diner, she has always loved performing. Lauren graduated cum laude from Boston University with a degree in Vocal Performance, and ranked highly in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition. Upon graduating, she furthered her voice and piano studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Since moving back to Philadelphia, Lauren has performed at the Walnut Street Theater, Bucks County Playhouse, Eagle Theatre, and the Media Theatre. Some of her favorite roles include Emma in Jekyll and Hyde, Anna in The King and I, Phoebe in Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Maria in The Sound of Music and Meg in Little Women. When she isn't performing or teaching, Lauren loves to spend time with her husband and their two daughters Lillian and Abigail.
Lauren Krigel has been teaching piano and voice since graduating from Boston University in 2004. Currently she teaches with Wolf Perfomring Arts Center in Bryn Mawr, PA. Having trained in both classical and contemporary styles, Lauren possesses the skills and technique to instill in her students an understanding of their chosen instrument whether it is voice, piano or both, as well as the ability to guide them to mastery. She is not only a teacher and coach, but also a performer in the field with the knowledge to guide any young musician to perform with confidence.
